  General Notes:

At the time of the 1910 census, Henry had been married one year. He is shown as a general farmer without a farm. He was listed right beside his father, so he may have been working his father's farm.

Obituary
H. L. Geeslin, the son of E. M. and M. J. Geeslin, was born May 5th, 1884 within two miles of Center City, Mills County, Texas, and has lived in this community all his life. He was very brightly converted and joined the M.E. Church, South, in a meeting held by the writer at Caradan, in the year of 1895. He was at this time a small boy. He grew up to noble young manhood and December 20th, 1908, he was happily married to Miss Stella Venable. One little boy is the fruit of this union. He was a noble young man. Leaving off some Christian duty he should have done, he did not enjoy himself as a Christian. Last summer at a meeting held at Center City by Rev. John Threadgill, he reconsecrated his life to the service of the Lord and lived a happy Christian until God called him to his eternal home in heaven. He died a triumphant death. The morning before he died he expressed himself to his sister as being very happy, and said everything looked so beautiful. Let us not think of Lannis as being dead, but as just commencing to live across the cold grave the rainbow of hope stretches its beautiful span and out of the Valley of Death faith can see the rising star of immortality. When the command is given "Go gather my saints together unto me", the Lord will not forget the place where this noble young man is sleeping. He leaves a heartbroken wife and little boy, father, mother, brothers, sisters and other relatives and friends, to mourn but not as those who have no hope: they expect to meet him again. We know where to find him. We laid his remains to rest in Center City cemetery until the Lord shall call him to get up from his resting place and put on immortality.

Now may God's rich blessings be with all the bereaved ones, may they all meet their loved one in the sweet bye and bye, is the prayer of a friend and brother. G. W. Templin
