James Allan Grube, a professional dog breeder and handler, died Wednesday at his Fort Worth home. He was 36. Graveside services will be noon today at Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Grube was born in Houston and had lived in Bay City for most of his life. He had lived in Fort Worth about four years. He was retired from the construction business and was active nationally in the breeding and showing of Chinese Shar-Pei dogs. He was highly respected as a professional dog breeder and handler. He was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America. Survivers: Son Todd Allan Grube of Fort Worth, father Allan O Grube of Florida, brother Roger Grube of Florida, and five sisters Carolyn Wehres and Lue High both of Buffalo, Lynn Moran of Austin, Jimmie Bellah of Magnolia, and Debbie Miller of Houston.
James married Carolyn Jewell Haggerton, daughter of Shelby Haggerton and Virgie Inez Evans. (Carolyn Jewell Haggerton was born on 14 Mar 1954 in Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas,4 died on 12 Mar 2005 in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Matagorda County, Texas 5.). The cause of her death was boat accident in bad weather on the Gulf of Mexico.
