  General Notes:

Immigrated from Fintorp Norrgärd, Forserum to USA on 3 Feb 1890. He went to the New Sweden, Texas, home of Anders J. Anderson, his uncle on arrival. Became a naturalized citizen in 1894. In 1898 he bought land in Lund, Texas. Made a trip to Sweden in 1899 and came back with his brother Oscar.

At the time of the 1910 census, Ludvig was a general farmer in Elgin, Bastrop County, Texas. He was paying a mortgage to own his farm. He owned his farm free of mortgage by the time of the 1920 census. He was a general farmer in Bastrop County, Texas, at the time of the 1930 census.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Lund and also a trustee. He also served as trustee of the public school board. He lived in Bastrop County, Texas, from immigration to death. He signed Ludvig on his wife's death certificate. His son Carl showed the name as Ludwig as informant on his father's death certificate.
