Darrell Travis Head, age 51, of Briarcliff, Texas, passed away on July 9, 2024. He was born on June 18, 1973 to Darrell Wayne Head and Rebecca Ann (Miles) Head in Lampasas, Texas. Travis served with the Austin Fire Department for 18 years.
Travis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Annette Keeney of Star, TX; grandfather, Doyle Miles of Goldthwaite, TX; grandmother, Edna Head of Center City, TX; and step-father, Jeff Stewart of Goldthwaite, TX.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Mindy Head of Briarcliff, TX; mother, Becky Stewart of Goldthwaite, TX; father, Darrell Wayne Head of Center City, TX; step-mother, Linda Head of Center City, TX; grandfather, Darrell Head of Center City, TX; sister, Renae Koen of Goldthwaite, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Soyla Stewart of Goldthwaite, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Derrick and Jessica Head of Center City, TX; sister, Lindsey Head of Center City, TX; and uncle, Wyatt Keeney of Star, TX. He is also survived by his nieces, Madison Tatum, Julia Goldsmith, Hailey Guerra, Jayden Stewart, Peyton Head, Allie Head and Samantha Daniel; and his nephews, Jayce Tatum, Maximus Travis Storm, Jefferson Koen, Jackson Koen, and Rhyder Deeds.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. A celebration of Travis' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Travis' honor to the Austin Fire Relief and Outreach Fund at www.afrof.org.
