By the time of the 1900 and 1910 census, Alice had born 3 children with one still living. At the time of the 1920 census, Alice was living with son Clarence Head. She is shown as married but Jeptha Benson Head is not listed with her. At the time of the 1930 census, she was living with her grandson Clarence, granddaughter Helen, and daughter in law Hilda in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. Her last residence was San Antonio. She had lived there 28 years. The informant on her death certificate was her daughter in law, Hilda R. Head.

Alice married Jeptha Benson Head, son of Sampson Head and Betty Ann Blakely, about 1879. (Jeptha Benson Head was born on 25 Nov 1850 in , Blount County, Alabama, United States,⁷ died on 15 Sep 1924 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas ⁸ and was buried on 16 Sep 1924 in Bethany Cemetery, Alvarado, Johnson County, Texas ⁹.). The cause of his death was pulmonary tuberculosis.⁶
