In the 1920 census Beulah's parents were reported to have been born in Texas. In the 1930 census, the father was listed as born in Texas, but the mother in Arkansas. The death certificate showed John Kirby and Mary Kauhs as her parents both born in Texas. The informant was her son Robert M. Miles.

Beaulah May Kirby Miles was born June 27, 1891 in Coryell County, Texas. At the age of 17 she was converted and joined the North Bennett Baptist Church of Mills County. She was married to Harvey Carrol Miles, August 27, 1908, and helped bury him October 2, 1941. Mrs. Miles passed away July 24, 1949 at 11:23 o'clock a.m. in the Rollins-Brook hospital in Lampasas, Texas, after having suffered a severe stroke.

She is survived by six sisters, three brothers, eight children: Luvina Ellen Solomon, Odessa, Julius Carrol, Doyle Truman and Olan Thurber Miles, all of Moline, Texas, Robert Melton, Goldthwaite, Texas, Janie May, Harvey Wayne, and Charles Kirby, all of Star, Texas, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Bill Hogue, were at the Baptist Church of Star, Texas. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Center City Cemetery at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 25, 1949 ¹⁰

Beaulah married Harvey Carroll Miles, son of Rev Charles Harvey Miles and Louisa Jane Grimes, on 27 Aug 1908 in , Mills County, Texas.¹ (Harvey Carroll Miles was born on 6 Mar 1890 in , Mills County, Texas,^{11 12} died on 2 Oct 1941 in , Mills County, Texas ^{8 12 13} and was buried in Center City Cemetery, Center City, Mills County, Texas ^{13 14}.). The cause of his death was carcinoma of stomach.⁷

They were married by Rev. L. L. Hays. In the 1930 census, Harvey gave his age at marriage as 19. Beulah gave her age as 17. That would make the marriage year 1909, not 1908.
