Mrs. Owens Passed Away
Mrs. Lucy Owens died at the home of her son, Mr. J. T. Owens, in this city at an early hour Wednesday morning and her remains were interred in the Center City cemetery Thursday. She lived at Center City for more than twenty years, she and her husband, Dr. S. A. Owens, having moved there from Waco and after his death she made her home with her son and his family and moved with them to this city a few years ago. Her health had not been good for a long time and her last illness was of long duration. She was nearly 80 years of age and was a consecrated Christian and her influence for good was far reaching and will last throughout eternity.
Mr Owens of this city was her only child and he and the other sorrowing ones can be sure of the sympathy of all who know of their bereavement.
