Dear Cousen after a long and tedious journey we all reached our homes as well as women and found the frinds all well as comen times is harde here porke will be vary scearse there is no mast to make meate

We had some rane on us one rite smarte storm tha was trying two men in Serman as we come thrue for hors stealing I dont no howit went with them

I am veary tierd today an nothing to rite so you must excuse this leter I want you to rite to me as soone as this dose come to hand an give my respect to that Miss P. if you pleas and let me no what she dos think of the Texas Chap as she has rather gand my best love nothing more at pressent But remans your frind an Cousen
