Gave place of birth as Maryland in 1880 US Census and as District of Columbia in 1900 US Census.
In 1880 US Census she had a family living with her, pages are very hard to read, but it looks like the family name is Crow. The husband is a livery man, the wife Nelia is shown as her daughter with three grandchildren. In the 1900 US Census, the space for number of children born to her is marked zero. In 1900 she is living with her sister Abbey Shaw and brother Wesley Charlton. The brother and sister both say they are born in District of Columbia.
