General Notes:
At the time of the 1900 US Census, he was working as a barber in Montrose, Montrose County, Colorado.
My father told me George was an alcoholic and in a fit of depression shot himself in a out house in Montrose, Colorado. In later years manic depression has surfaced in the family and he probably was a manic. My grand father provided for his widow and we always called her Aunt Anna.--Herbert Brosius 1999

George married Anna Harrison, daughter of James Harrison and Sarah A. Glover, in 1896. (Anna Harrison was born on 28 Dec 1871 in Illinois 11 12 and died on 15 Aug 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado 11 12.). The cause of her death was infirmity of age.
Marriage Notes:
There was no record of the marriage found in Colorado as of May 2012. The marriage may have been performed in Missouri or Illinois.
