When Martin registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was a merchant employed by Gatsy Vad... Dry Goods ... Mfg. Company (unclear) in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas. His wife, Fannie, was his nearest relative. At the time of the 1920 census, his occupation was merchant of dry goods. He rented his home in Snyder.
