Bradley and William Boyle Bradley. ![]() General Notes: A History of Tennessee and Tennesseans mentions William Bradley as one of the first settlers of Monroe County which was formed in 1819. In 1821 he and Michael Carroll erected a small iron furnace, which remained in operation for about 20 years. At the time of the 1830 census, William was living in Regiment 98, Monroe County, Tennessee. He and his wife had a daughter under the age of 5 and an older woman, between 40 and 50 years of age living with them. ![]() Additional Information: • Military Service: Captain Caldwell's company, Lindseys regiment, Tennessee mounted volunteers, 1837-1838, the Cherokee War. ![]() William married Elizabeth Hudgeons on 22 Jan 1828 in , Blount County, Tennessee.1 (Elizabeth Hudgeons was born in 1808 in Virginia and died in Feb 1855.)
