Mary married Samuel Sampson Posey, son of Sidney A. Posey and Isabel Sampson, on 30 Dec 1903. (Samuel Sampson Posey was born on 23 Sep 1869 in , Burnet County, Texas,5 died on 23 Sep 1933 in Austin, Travis County, Texas 5 and was buried on 24 Sep 1933 in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Travis County, Texas 5.). The cause of his death was chronic nephritis.3

JOHNSON-POSEY
Miss Mary Johnson of Burnet, daughter of General A. R. Johnson, and Mr. S. M. Posey of Syracuse, New York, were united in marriage at the home of the bride yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. W. J. Durham of this city. The young people left Burnet on the afternoon train for their future home in Syracuse, N.Y. They were accompanied as far as Austin by the groom's aunt and sister. The Messenger joins their many friends in wishing them a prosperous wedded life.
