Dorothy Lewis
Ms. Dorothy L. Lewis, 81, of Spicewood, passed away Monday Sept. 20, 2004 at her home in Spicewood. She graduated from Oatmeal High School in 1940. During her senior year she received the Gold Star 4-H award. She married Dawson Lewis in 1941, who preceded her in death in 1997 after 56 years of marriage. She was the former postmaster in Spicewood for over 25 years, she was a member of the extension education club of Marble Falls, she was a lifetime & devoted member of the Church of Christ. She also volunterred for many officer positions in the Spicewood Community Center, and elementary school, she also taught Sunday school at her church.
She is survived by her sons & daughters in law: Elmo & Angie Lewis, Jerry & Laurie Lewis, both of Spicewood, 4 grandchildren: Jerry Lee Lewis, Sharon Lewis Ables, Shelley Lewis, Shauna Lewis, 2 great grand children: Kayla Abels, Jacob Abels, sister in laws: Mandy Lewis, Marble Falls, Maude Lewis, Burnet, Wanda Lewis, Bertram & Beatrice Lewis of TX. Brothers: Earl Crawford, Bertram, Ivan Crawford, Bertram, Hershel Crawford, Grandbury TX., William Crawford, Bertram, Lometa, numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 2pm Wed. Sept. 22, 2004 at the Edgar Funeral Home Chapel, in Marble Falls TX., with Mr. Colby Pennington officiating, interment to follow in the Lewis cemetery in Spicewood, TX.
