George married Sarah Petonia Cody, daughter of Peter J. Cody and Louisa Tucker, in 1867. (Sarah Petonia Cody was born on 6 Nov 1843 in Warrenton, Warren County, Georgia and died on 15 Feb 1905 in Oklahoma.)
