Kathlyn Burnham Rogers, 86 of Spicewood passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born June 30, 1925, in the Double Horn Community of Burnet County to J. Morton Burnham and Pauline Mezger. Kathlyn graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1942 and attended Durham Business College and later Tarleton State in Stephenville.
She raised three children in the Onion Creek area near Austin and had for the last two years resided in the Kingsland Hills Care Center. Her hobbies included gardening, rock collecting, hunting and fishing. She loved animals and dancing.
Kathlyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Winston Burnham. She is survived by her sons Gene Carrington and wife Deborah and Monte Carrington and wife Pauline, both of Spicewood and daughter Paula Kaye of Redlands, California; grandchildren David, Rebecca, Paul, and Lisa; great grandchildren Isaac Carrington, Emilie Carrington, and Ethan Chang. Also surviving is her brother and sister-in-law Murry and Jolene Burnham of Spicewood and sister-in-law Tina Burnham of Round Mountain.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Reverend David Carrington will officiate at the funeral service to be held Tuesday, June 12 at 10am at the Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Marble Falls. Burial will follow at the Round Mountain Cemetery.
