GOLDTHWAITE - Roydston W. House, 87, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, in a local nursing home. Graveside service will be at 6 p.m. today in House Ranch Cemetery. Arrangements are by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 20, 1910, in Mills County and was a lifetime resident. He was a rancher and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include four sons, Rodney House of Mart, Gary House of Huntsville, Wayne House of Plains and Dayton House of Mullin; a brother, Jim Tom House of Brenham; four sisters, Billie Jo Humphries of Austin, Nora B. Soloman of Waco, Ann Stachowiak of Brownsville and Alpha Harris of Goldthwaite; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Roydston married Veona Bernice Flatt, daughter of Jerry Washington Flatt and Martha Emily Brooks, on 25 Dec 1935. (Veona Bernice Flatt was born on 12 Mar 1916 in Texas, died on 7 Apr 1990 in , Mills County, Texas and was buried in House Ranch Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas.)
