Arthur Dale (Buster) Hall made lots of sacrifices in his life but of special note is a sacrifice his daughter, Carol Elizabeth Hall Hudspeth made. In 1982, after Buster's kidneys failed following years of high blood pressure, the doctors told him he would have to go on dialysis or have a transplant. Carol decided the transplant would be the way for her Dad to continue his lifestyle without the burden of dialysis. She gave him a kidney in an operation at Dallas in February of 1983 and that kidney gave Buster 10 good years. The kidney failed during an unrelated operation in 1992 and Buster remained on dialysis until his death from a heart attack in 1995.
Buster married Maydell Griffin, daughter of Travis Ira Griffin and Ethel Mae Covington, on 24 Dec 1949 in Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas.
