Quenton Bunn Hill, 80, of Hampstead, NC (Stonebridge Assisted Living), passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. He was born in Franklin County July 14, 1933, son of the late Mosson and Mary Freeman Hill. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Aleine Mathis Hill, and siblings, Wilbert Mosson Hill, William Waitsel Hill, and LaRue Hill Lassiter. Quenton was a proud Disabled Veteran of the United States Air Force, and served during the Korean War. He later was known by many through his business, Coastal Fabricators, of Wilmington, NC. He was a most devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Surviving is a son, Bertram Q. Hill, and his daughter, Cynthia Hill Jones, granddaughter, Meredith R. Jones, and step-granddaughter, Beth Jones Lavin. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Frances Hill Underwood, of Asheville, NC, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, June 02, 2014, at Wells Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2070 Wallace Highway, (Harrells Community) Wallace, NC 28466. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church, with Reverend Joe Lee Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
