Caradan
Mrs. Annie Hill passed to the Great Beyond at the home of her brother, C. C. Ellis, at 7 a.m. last Friday. Her home was at Democrat. She had been sick for more than two months and it was hoped that she would recover, but--alas! The Lord said "Come up higher" and she was ready to go. She leaves a husband and three small children, besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Her remains were laid to rest in the Center City cemetery to await the resurrection. Brother Hays conducted the burial service. The grief -stricken family and relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

Alexander Hill and Annie Ellis received their marriage license on 20 Dec 1899. They were married on 24 Dec 1899 by D. E. Cone, Justice of the Peace, in the home of the bride's father E. G. Ellis. Witnesses present were E. F. Cone, J. E. Hagwood, and E. C. Bullock.
