Wilbert Mosson Hill Sr. 80 of S. NC Hwy 150 passed away at his home. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Mark Blair and Mr. Larry Sides. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 10 until 11 am. Mr. Hill was born July 3, 1931 in Franklin County to William Mosson Hill and Mary Freeman Hill. He was a retired Carpenter with the N.C. State Fairgrounds; and a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Waitsel Hill; and a sister, LaRue Hill Lassister. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ruth Johnson Hill ; sons, Will Hill wife Sandra; Otha Hill wife Sherry all of Lexington; John Hill wife Kathy; Joe Hill wife Sandi all of Mars Hill; daughters, Rose Sullivan, Debbie Flowers both of Lexington; 9 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren; a brother, Quentin Bunn Hill, of Wilmington; a sister, Mary Frances Underwood of Asheville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
