Services for LaVonne Farnsworth West, 83, of Lubbock will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Keith Wiseman, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center.
She was born on February 4, 1917, in Lockney. She moved to Lubbock in 1935. She married Felix West on June 16, 1937, in Pecos. She graduated from Lockney High School and Lubbock Memorial Nurses Training School. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday school class.
Vylas married Felix Anson West, son of C. H. West and Edna Hudson, on 16 Jun 1937 in Pecos, Reeves County, Texas. (Felix Anson West was born on 27 Oct 1913 in Deming, Luna County, New Mexico, died on 22 Dec 2002 and was buried in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.)
