Services for Felix Anson West, 89, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died, Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002.
He was born, Oct. 27, 1913, in Deming, N.M., and moved to Floydada in 1916. He moved to Lubbock in 1935.
He married LaVonne Farnsworth, June 16, 1937, in Pecos. She died May 6, 2000.
He graduated from Floydada High School and Draughn's Business College, where he taught bookkeeping after graduation. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Frenship Sunday School Class. He was a charter member of the South Plains Iris Society.
He worked for Newsom Paint & Supply Co. before starting his own business in 1965, Felix West Paints Inc.
Felix married Vylas LaVonne Farnsworth, daughter of Samuel Isaac Farnsworth and Bertha Emma Hamilton, on 16 Jun 1937 in Pecos, Reeves County, Texas. (Vylas LaVonne Farnsworth was born on 4 Feb 1917 in Lockney, Floyd County, Texas and died on 6 May 2000 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.)
