Sophie Benedix
LODI ~ Funeral services for Sophie Bendix, 91, who died Friday in a Lodi convalescent hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave.
Mrs. Benedix, a native of Eugene, Ore., lived in Lodi since the 1960's. She was a member of Ebenezer Congregational Church and a past member of the Grange and San Joaquin County Employees Association.
Surviving are two sisters, Daisy Riffero of Lodi and Bertha Andersen of Manteca; and two stepdaughters, Della Goertz of San Francisco and Vivian Lasiter of Pioneer.
Burial will be at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Congregational Church Memorial Fund or to the donor's favorite charity.
