Woodson Clary, age 78, of Star, Texas, passed away Monday, April 25, 1988, at Childress General Hospital in Goldthwaite.
He was born September 4, 1909 at Winters, Texas to John F. and Nancy Elizabeth Hubbard Clary. On November 23, 1935, he married Choella Soules at Center City, Texas.
Mr. Clary lived in Star most of his life. He was a member of the Star United Methodist Church.
Beside his parents he is preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of Star; two children, James Clary of Star and Ella Ruth Morgan of Goldthwaite; five grandchildren, Darren, Amy, and Nancy Clary of Star and Becky and Todd Morgan of Goldthwaite; and two sisters, Vera Richman of Goldthwaite and Aline Dozier of Fort Collins, Colorado.
The funeral was conducted on Wednesday, April 27, 1988 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stacy Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Glenn Weimer officiated and was assisted by Rev. George Matthews. Burial was in the Hurst Ranch Cemetery near Star, Texas, Mills County Texas. The Masonic Lodge was in charge of the graveside services.
Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite was in charge of arrangements.
Woodson married Choella Soules, daughter of James Fowler Soules and Margarette Emily Boykin, on 23 Nov 1935 in Center City, Mills County, Texas.
