Rufus Murry Oleson
General Notes: R. M. Oleson died Friday morning Jan 11, 1985 at Concho County Hospital. He was born 23 March 1904 in Bell County, Texas. He had been a resident of this county since the '70's. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Odd fellows Lodge. Survivors include three sons W. Garland Oleson of Garland,Texas, D Duane Oleson of Colorado and Murry Eugene Oleson of Broken Arrow, Ok. two daughters Dorthy Jean Fenske of Garland and Adell Houston of Dallas, Texas, Three sisters Mozell Wise and Velma Perkins both of Hobbs, New Mexico and Vestie Oleson of Berrill; a step-sister Gladys Bass of Grand Saline; a brother Leslie Oleson of Eden; 14 grand-children and a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers were Murry W. Oleson, Mark Oleson, Gregory Peebles and David Houston. He worked as an Engineer for Shell Oil Company then worked in the oil fields and had his own business laying floors but he was a farmer at heart.
Rufus married Eula Faye Hines, daughter of James Benjamin Hines and Dora Elizabeth Kissick, on 13 Nov 1925 in , Hill County, Texas. (Eula Faye Hines was born on 21 Mar 1905 in , Hill County, Texas, died on 31 Dec 1934 in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico 1 and was buried in Blanton Cemetery, Blanton, Hill County, Texas.)
