PARLEE EVANS DEAD
Parlee Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will B. Evans of Katy, Texas died at ten o'clock last Sunday morning, death resulting from injuries sustained Saturday afternoon while driving from a truck into shallow water in a stream near his home.

The remains were brought to Goldthwaite on Tuesday mornings train and taken to Center City, where burial took place that afternoon. Rev. Josephus Lee, pastor of the Methodist Church at Goldthwaite, and Rev. Marshall, pastor of the Methodist Church at San Saba, conducted the funeral services.

Parlee is survived by his father Will Evans, one brother and three sisters, besides other relatives here and elsewhere. He was a nephew of ex-Sheriff J. Everett Evans.

The Eagle joins the many friends of the Evans families in offering the bereaved ones the greatest measure of sympathy in this sad hour.
