MCGAUGHY, Charles W. 61, Blue Mountain, died October 21, 1980 at Tippah County Hospital. He was a member of Lowrey Baptist Church, retired as Master Sgt from the US Marine Corps after 30 years, and an accountant for Blue Mountain College. Services were October 22 at 2 pm in Lowrey Baptist Church with burial in Liberty Cemetery. Bro James Byrd and Bro Sammy Simpson officiated. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Catherine Simpson McGaughy, Blue Mountain; two sons, Charles Daniel (Dan) McGaughy, Pearl, MS and Robert (Bob) Bell McGaughy, Tupelo; one sister, Myrtle McGaughy, Ashland; four brothers, John, Ira, Jim and Fred McGaughy, all of Ashland; 3 grandsons.
