Her mother listed as, America Anderson born in Indiana, was living with them.At the time of the 1930 census, Mary was widowed and sharing her home in Washington, Montgomery County, Iowa, with sister in law Elizabeth Ten Eyck.

Mrs. Mary Noble, Pioneer Resident of County, Dies

Mrs. Mary C. Noble, pioneer resident of this vicinity, died Friday Sept 28, at her farm home where she had resided more than 50 years.

She was a daughter of George and Jane Anderson and was born Oct 19, 1864 at Hawleyville, Ia. She was 80 years old at her death. When she was 4 years old she came with her parents to Montgomery county where she lived continuously the remainder of her life.

She was married Dec 23, 1883 to Samuel Dunn Noble who preceded her in death Feb 4, 1929. To them were born four children. They are Mrs. Lila Leacock, Hayward, Calif.; Bruce Noble, Calumet, Minn.; Mrs. Effie Copelin and Mrs. Grace Anderson, Villisca. There are also a sister, Mrs. Florence E Stewart, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Wm. Anderson of Republic, Kas., and George Anderson of Clarinda; 12 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Noble was a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Sutphen funeral home, conducted by Mrs. Bertha Peters. The pallbearers were Cliff Findley, Arthur Case, Kay Wheeler, Edd Pullen, Lou Raney and Lester Scott, and the flowerbearers were Mrs. L.B. Williams and Mrs. Russell Winter. Interment was in the Arlington cemetery.
