![]() General Notes: At the time of the 1900 census, Rolla was a farm laborer for Fred Salm and listed in his household as a servant in Appanoose, Hancock County, Illinois. He joined the Presbyterian Church on 27 Oct 1907. At the time of the 1910 census, he was a general farmer in Pontoosuc, Hancock County, Illinois. He served as Elder of the Presbyterian Church from 1912 forward. When Rolla registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was farming for himself in Ferris, Hancock County, Illinois. His wife, Olive L., was his nearest relative. At the time of the 1920 and 1930 census, Rolla was a general farmer in Rock Creek, Hancock County, Illinois. He rented his home. In 1930 his mother in law Emily G. Humphrey was part of his household and a boarder Harley M. Yetter. In 1942 Rolla registered for the WWII draft. He was working for Morgan Counry Farm Bureau, in Jacksonville, Illinois. He gave his daughter, Mrs. John Harris, as the person who would always know his address.
