A Bay City man shot his wife Thursday night outside of Wayne's Cafe, then turned the gun on himself in a murder-suicide. Dead are Mrs. Mary Lou Williams, 37, and her husband Leon J. Williams, 33.

Leon married Mary Lue Miles, daughter of Albert Behrens Miles and Nellie Mae Aber. (Mary Lue Miles was born on 12 Jan 1929 in El Campo, Wharton County, Texas,² died on 21 Apr 1966 in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas and was buried on 24 Apr 1966 in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Matagorda County, Texas.). The cause of her death was gunshot wounds, homicide.
