He was still farming in Johnson County, Texas. The record shows that his parents were born in Georgia. The 1900 record shows their birth place as Tennessee. His household in 1900 consisted of his wife, step granddaughters Mattie and Bertha, and Mattie's husband Jesse Monroe Head.
