Margaret Wylie Chairman of Trinity H.S. English Department Margaret Brosius Wylie, 91, of Waynesburg, formerly of Washington, died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 1999, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. A daughter of Raymond Samual and Ruth Ann Swan Brosius, Mrs. Wylie was born in Johnstown. She was a former resident of Washington and had been active in community affairs. She was a graduate of Washington Seminary and Chatham College. She furthered her education at Syracuse University and Pennsylvania State University. She was a teacher at Washington Seminary and was the chairman of the English Department at Trinity High School. Mrs. Wylie was a member of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Washington. She was past president of the Washington and Jefferson College Alumnae Association; past president of the Current Events Club; organizing regent of the Daughters of the American Colonists; and a member of the Washington Hospital auxiliary, Chit-Chat Club and Waynesburg Woman's Club. Surviving is her daughter, Suzanne Wylie of Waynesburg. Deceased are her husband, Garvin Roseborough Wylie, former vice president of Peoples National Bank of Washington; and a sister, Marion Berrehsem. Private services were held at North Buffalo United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Washington, with the Rev. Glenn Kohlhepp and the Rev. Robert Peters officiating.
