Her husband Leland and her brother Samuel's wife Ila are siblings.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She blessed her family and friends daily with her sweet spirit. She was a lifelong faithful member of Liberty Methodist Church. She had a servant's heart and served as Sunday School Superintendent and as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was an avid supporter of public education. She was a member of the Benton County School Board for 18 years and worked in several offices in Benton county.

Social Security had her last benefit as Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi, and her last residence as Saltillo, Lee County, Mississippi.

Minnie married Leland Jefferson Childers, son of Oscar Jefferson Childers and Ellen A. Alberson, on 27 Dec 1938. (Leland Jefferson Childers was born on 30 Aug 1914 in Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi ⁶ and died on 17 Mar 2000 ⁶.)
