At the time of the 1920 census, he was widowed and back living with his parents in Bell County, Texas. His child was not listed with the family. He was working as a house carpenter. At the time of the 1930 census, Willaim was a building carpenter in McLennan County, Texas. He was living with his mother in law's. He was a veteran of WWI.
Social Security had his last residence as Belton, Bell County, Texas. A memorial at FindAGrave.com stated that he had been a Belton resident since 1932.
