Cynthia Renee Miles
Cynthia Renee Miles, age 59, of Goldthwaite, passed from this earth to her heavenly home on Thursday evening, July 23, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 31, 1960 in Deming, New Mexico, the daughter of Gerald and Patsy (Hood) Stockstill. She graduated from high school at Carlsbad, New Mexico and later married Randal Miles on October 17, 1981 in Coleman, Texas. They lived in Coleman for several years and later moved to Goldthwaite to own and operate the Mills County Veterinary Clinic.
She was a very active member of the community serving on many community boards and organizations. She had served on the Goldthwaite School Board, The Mills County Appraisal District, and the Chamber of Commerce. She had been a former cub master for the Cub Scouts, a Sunday school Teacher and Youth Sponsor and a music leader for various churches. She was instrumental in starting the Parade of Lights in Goldthwaite. She had served as a teacher's aide in the Goldthwaite school system and recently retired from teaching at New Horizons Ranch near Goldthwaite due to health. She had currently been attending the Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldthwaite.
She will always be remembered for her community service and loving spirit and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Randal Miles of Goldthwaite; her children, Russell Miles of Goldthwaite, Reagan Miles of New Braunfels, Ricky Miles and wife Stephanie and their two children, Emma and Zoey of Brookesmith, and Ryan Miles of Brownwood. She is also survived by her mother, Patsy Stockstill and sister, Cherie Creech and husband Terry all of Midland.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Stockstill.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
