  General Notes:

At the time of the 1900 census, he was widowed and living with his parents with his Texas born children, Emil and Martha. He was a farm laborer. He immigrated to America in 1872 from Germany. He married his brother Henry's widow Hulda in about 1903. Her children Alvin, Clara, Tekla, and Eda S. (Selma) were listed with the family in the 1910 census. HIs children Emil and Martha were not listed. Their children together, Hattie R. Otto H (a daughter ?), and Paul were listed. He was farming a rented farm in Fayette County, Texas.

Christian next married Emma Hulda Benedix, daughter of Moritz Benedix and Carolina Ernestina Lelansky, about 1903 in Texas. (Emma Hulda Benedix was born on 25 Sep 1873 in Waditz, , Sachsen, Germany ³ and died on 10 Aug 1955 in , San Joaquin County, California ³.)
