She finished out the school year in Spicewood School following her marriage, and then became a full-time homemaker. She couldn't teach the next year because Oscar's brother, Robert Wall, was on the school board. She always remembered her teaching days with love and spoke of her students often. She was a member of Spicewood Baptist Church.
