LAMPASAS Services for Melvin Clifford Landers, 93, of Lometa will be 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Lometa with the Rev. Celia Kitchens officiating.

Burial will follow in Lometa Cemetery.

Mr. Landers died Tuesday, Feb. 9, in a Temple hospital.

He was born on March 15, 1916, to Glen S. and Lola Addison Landers in Wellington. On July 18, 1937, he married Ola B. Head in Lometa. He worked for the City of Abilene in the paint and body division. He lived in the Abilene area for 40 years and he lived in Lometa for the last 25 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lometa. He was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors include three sons, Mel C. Landers of Austin, Jim A. Landers of Temple and Gary C. Landers of Tyler; a brother, Wayne K. Landers of Brownwood; a sister, Joyce N. Kemp of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas is in charge of arrangements

Social Security had his last residence as Lometa, Lampasas County, Texas.

Melvin married Ola B. Head, daughter of James Welch Head and Lucy Fannie Owens, on 18 Jul 1937 in Lometa, Lampasas County, Texas.^{1 2} (Ola B.
