Jonathan McAteer

Jonathan was occupied with farming in Huntingdon county until 1860, when he removed to Altoona, Pennsylvania, and there lived in retirement. In political matters he was a Whig, and in religious, a Catholic. At one time he held the rank of captain of the militia.

Jonathan married Mary Noble, daughter of Samuel Noble and Mary Spencer. (Mary Noble was born on 29 Sep 1799 in Porter Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania ¹ and died in 1871 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.)
