  General Notes:

Unofficial lists give his arrival date to the US at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as 1788. He would have been 17, quite young to be considered the primary immigrant. This may be evidence for his father instead, which would include him.

Samuel was listed on the 1800 census in Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, with 5 members in his household: 2 males under 10, 1 male 26-44, 1 female under 10, 1 female 16-25. He was listed again in 1810 with 9 members in his household: 2 males under 10, 2 males 10-15, 1 male 26-44, 2 females under 10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-25. (It looks like he understated his wife's age.)
