![]() General Notes: In biographies of his father, he was listed as U. S. Grant and U. S. G. He was Grant on the 1870 and 1880 census. The "S" stood for Simpson in the president's name, but there was a Sidney G. Noble in Washington with the right birth information and locations that may be him. At the time of the 1880 census, Grant was a railroad laborer in Arkansas River, Fremont County, Colorado. He was living near Walla Walla, Washington, in 1890. He was living in Davenport, Washington, in 1905. |
