General Notes:
At the time of the 1910 census, the family lived in Grandview, Johnson County, Texas, where his father was an engineer at the gin. At the time of the 1920 census, the family lived in Grandview where his father was superintendent of the water works. In 1930 his father was a mechanic in a garage. Winton was a salesman for a grocery store. They still lived in Grandview. Social Security had his last residence as Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas.
Winton married Nellie Vivian Head, daughter of Marion Randolph Head and Grace Mae Kirkham. (Nellie Vivian Head was born on 10 Aug 1913 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas 5 6 and died on 3 Nov 2007 7.)
