BETTY JO HEAD went to be with her Lord on Jan. 9, 2006. Betty was born on 9/3/28 to Verna & Rohe Wynn who precedes her in death. Betty leaves behind her husband, Odean Head of 54 years, 3 children & 6 grandchildren. Denise & Jeff Lively: Melissa & Russell; Terre & Herb Espinosa: Angela & Nick; Larry Head: Sarah & Rachel. Betty loved all sports and will be remembered for all her volunteering. Betty was an active member at Gethsemane Methodist since 1963. She taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scout leader. She was active in the Houston Bromeliad Society where she served in many capacities including Pres. & Int'l. Accredited Show Judge. Betty worked with Odean to build a beautiful bromeliad collection. We love you and we'll miss you "Mo." Her Memorial will be held at 2pm on Sat. Jan. 14 at Gethsemane, 6856 Bellaire Blvd., with reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Methodist.

Betty married Dennis Odean Head, son of John Barton Head and Lora Belle Dennis, on 21 Jun 1951. (Dennis Odean Head was born on 22 Mar 1926 in Center City, Mills County, Texas and died on 30 Sep 2022.)
