Lester Geeslin
Born on Dec. 30, 1937, at Indian Gap, Texas, Lester Geeslin, 80, passed away pm June 15, 2018, at Scott & White Hospital, Temple, Texas.
Lester attended public schools at Grand Prairie and Goldthwaite, Texas. He graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1956. He attended Tarleton State University on a football scholarship.
Lester married Joe Ann Singer on April 18, 1964, at Zion Lutheran Church, Priddy, Texas. They were married for 54 years, residing in Goldthwaite all their married life.
Lester was employed as a ranch hand, a business manager at Saylor Chevrolet, and owner of Geeslin Gas Company for 32 years.
Lester was a wonderful, thoughtful and caring husband and father, and to his and Joe Ann's union were two daughters, Andrea Lynn and Leslie Joe.
In later years, in addition to the gas business, Lester became involved in farming and ranching. He was able to purchase a ranch, which was one thing he had always dreamed of. He had a name for every cow and horse and always hated to sell any of them.
Lester's most beloved pet and constant companion was a little Boston Terrier dog named "Puddin."
He was also a big supporter of The Wounded Warriors Project.
Survivors are his wife, Joe Ann Geeslin of Goldthwaite; daughters, Andrea Lynn and husband Scott Esse and children, Savanna, Mason and Colton of Goldthwaite, and daughter, Leslie Joe and husband Jody Hook and son Jordan of Brock, Texas; sisters Virgilene and Bernard Farmer of Bedford, Texas, Linda and husband, Jerry Rountree of Goldthwaite; niece and nephews, Andrew Farmer, Stephanie Kulhanek, and Brady and Ryan Rountree.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ruth Geeslin.
Visitation was held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stacy-Wilkins Chapel, with Butch Foster officiating. Interment was in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Rodriguez, Tim Higginbotham, Boyd Hall, Andy Farmer, Ryan Rountree, Brady Rountree, Mason Esse, and Jordan Hook. Honorary pallbearers were Chester Berry, Don Seward, Mike Hall, Gene Burton, Gary Head, Bobby Walls, Carson Padgett, and Robert Womack.

Lester married Joe Ann Senger, daughter of Albert Otto Senger and Elsa Anne Selma Heptner.
