Between the 1910 and 1920 census years, Hattie married, had a child and became widowed. In 1920 and 1930, she was back living with her parents. Married name was shown as Ryan in 1920 and as Hines in 1930. Census taker misunderstood. She never remarried.

Social Security had her last residence as Mena, Polk County, Arkansas. (Listed as Hettie Ryan.) That is where her son Basil and daughter in law Lyda lived, died and were buried. She outlived them both. She apparently wasn't buried near them but rather with her husband and extended family in Liberty Cemetery, Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi. The transcription at FindAGrave.com only has her birth year with no death date.

Hettie married Junious H. Ryan. (Junious H. Ryan was born in 1880 in Mississippi,⁶ died on 27 Dec 1917 ⁶ and was buried in Liberty Cemetery, Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi ⁷.)
