Funeral services for Gladys Singleton, 94, of Goldthwaite will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at First Baptist Church in Goldthwaite with Doug Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 9, 1911, in Regency, to J.M. Lee and Mary Ethel (Seals) Lee. She was married to Otto Singleton on Oct. 19, 1928, in Regency. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
Gladys married Otto Marcus Singleton, son of Joe Buford Singleton and Martha Pearl Stark, on 19 Oct 1928 in Regency, Mills County, Texas. (Otto Marcus Singleton was born on 28 Aug 1909, died on 26 Aug 1992 and was buried in Oakview Cemetery, Mullin, Mills County, Texas.)
