  General Notes:

Hilda's parents were William C. Reid and Carrie C. Pew. At the time of the 1900 census, the family lived in Temple, Bell County, Texas. She had an older sister Gena B. Her grandmother, E. C. Pew, was living with them. The entire family was born in Missouri. Her father was an engine painter for the railroad. Her mother was a nurse. At the time of the 1910 census she had born one child and it was still living. She was widowed at the time of the 1930 census. She was working as a saleslady in a silk house and was living with her son Clarence. Her death certificate showed her occupation as Retired Registrar Nurses.

Hilda married David Clarence Head, son of Jeptha Benson Head and Alice Davis, about 1906. (David Clarence Head was born on 17 Apr 1885 in Alvarado, Johnson County, Texas,6 died on 20 Nov 1929 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas 7 and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas 7.). The cause of his death was extensive skull fracture and laceration of brain and hemorrhage.5
