Florine Soules
Florine Soules, 90, went to be with the Lord Friday April 25, 2008. She was born to John and Etta (Witty) Hamilton in Star, Texas on April 1, 1918. She married Johnie Soules on July 11, 1936 in Brownwood, Texas. They moved to Big Spring in 1941 and she worked for C. R. Anthony's and Montgomery Ward. They moved to San Angelo, Texas in 1952 where Florine opened Florine's Beauty Shop. She was the owner and operator for 35 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher and an avid traveler with her husband in the Concho Valley Baptist Senior Adult traveling group.
Florine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Etta Hamilton, Brother Myrl Hamilton, and a nephew Richard Hamilton.
Florine is survived by her husband of 71 years Johnie Soules, son Horace Soules and wife Mary of Harriett, Texas, grandchildren Sherry and husband Michael Sepeda of Fort Worth, Texas, Stephanie Cronister and husband Bill of Durango, Colorado, great great-grandchildren Jackson, Hannah, Brooke Cronister, and a special niece Diane Killingsworth of Dallas, Texas.
The Soules family wishes to extend a special thanks to Jenny Pike for her extra care and friendship to them during their time of need.
Graveside services were held Monday April 28, 2008 3:00 p.m. at Hurst Ranch Cemetery, just outside of Star, Texas.
Ellen married Johnie Hague Soules, son of Francis Marion Soules III and Anna Elizabeth Barnes, on 11 Jul 1936 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.
