Madie Joyce Vann

Joyce Toliver, 90, of Goldthwaite, passed away Jan. 17, 2018, in Goldthwaite.

Mrs. Toliver was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Winchell, a daughter of E.D. and Maude Curbo Vann.
On April 14, 1942, she married Ludy Doyle Wright in Mullin. He preceded her in death. On April 11, 1975, in Burnet, she married Jessie Vance Toliver, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was an LVN.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 19, at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 20, at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stewart Farrell officiating. Interment was in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Jason Gibbard, Terry Wright, Bodie Wright, Bradley Wright, Ryan Wright, and KC Baird.

She is survived by her daughters and spouses, Pat Correa of Goldthwaite, and Diana and Robert Baird of Goldthwaite; her sons and spouses, Mike and Bettiann Wright of Goldthwaite, Eric and Liz Wright of Brownwood, and Randy and Rachel Wright of Goldthwaite, 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.D. Vann & Maude Curbo Vann; her husbands, Ludy Doyle Wright and Jessie Vance Toliver; her son, Nickie D. Wright; and her sister, Mattie Frances Vann. ¹

Madie married Jessie Vance Toliver on 11 Apr 1975 in Burnet, Burnet County, Texas. (Jessie Vance Toliver was born on 20 Sep 1920, died on 7 May 1992 and was buried in Oakview Cemetery, Mullin, Mills County, Texas.)

Madie next married Ludy Doyle Wright, son of Elam Porter Wright and Esther Elector Spinks, on 14 Apr 1942 in Mullin, Mills County, Texas. (Ludy Doyle Wright was born on 31 Mar 1919, died on 22 Mar 2000 and was buried in Duren Cemetery, Mullin, Mills County, Texas.)
